Meet the Staff

You are the most important person in our office, and you deserve to have timely and competent attention paid to your affairs. Your work will be handled by those staff members who are most qualified to give you the superior service you require.

Doug Kottke, CPA
Doug is the President and Managing Partner of Compton, Kottke & Associates. He directs and performs numerous financial examinations for a variety of firms which include financial and health care institutions, wholesale, manufacturing, and building construction firms, and several public sector and governmental organizations. Doug is also responsible for providing accounting and tax services for a number of these industries, as well as small businesses and individuals.

Emmett Kottke, CPA
Emmett is the Chairman of the Board and Senior Partner of Compton, Kottke & Associates. He has conducted and supervised numerous financial examinations including firms in retail, wholesale, health care, manufacturing, construction, banking, and professional service corporations, in addition to numerous not-for-profit organizations. He also provides a wide range of management services to a variety of clients is such fields as cost accounting, inventory control, cash flow analysis, and profit feasibility studies.

Linda Davis
Linda joined us at Compton, Kottke & Associates in 1993 as a result of our merger with Robert G. Simpson, CPA. She has extensive experience in providing individual income tax preparation and bookkeeping services to clients in various industries. Currently, Linda is working to expand the firm's "Eldercare Services" practice. She is also our Firm Administrator and manages accounts payable, payroll, and other operational functions.

Rusty Waddell
Rusty has significant experience in private industry. Since joining Compton, Kottke & Associates, he has gained experience in a variety of other sectors including not-for-profit, manufacturing, and retail. In addition to providing our clients with various other accounting services, Rusty is an audit engagement manager.

Stefanie Haliburton
Stefanie is the most recent addition to Compton, Kottke and Associates.  She joined the firm in September 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Sullivan University.  She is currently studying to become a CPA and has prior experience in both public and private accounting.  As a new member of the firm, she will be assisting with audits, compiling financial statements, preparing tax returns, and performing various other accounting functions.
